Go vote - now !

...because I can't.

As an American who has never lived in the U.S., I am apparently "an American citizen who has no voting rights". There are only 16 states that allow U.S. citizens born overeas who have never lived in the U.S. to vote, and to qualify, the parent who passed on U.S. citizenship must also be eligible to vote. Well, that rules me out.

  1. Arrived here via The Black Box! And I have already voted; now just waiting on the outcome of all those voters!! So sorry you're not able to vote....there are days I wish it would just be over and done with! Who would your "choice" be if able to vote??? Many here are up in arms so to speak:I've been wearing a path thru my carpeting-pacing and have worn some bald patches on my jeans-praying!! Glad to have visited your blog.

  2. Next time you go to the States just register where ever you are and request an absentee ballot...

  3. Hi Oregontribal, let's just say I was thrilled to bits with the results - as was most of the world, I think. Were you ?

Jeff, do you mean that if I went to say, NYC as a tourist, I could register to vote in the state of New York with just my passport ? Will look into it.
