Take my Christmas presents, for instance. He has bought them on his own and hidden them. So far so good. Except that one receipt is in plain view on the coffee table, a shopping bag is left lying on the living room floor, and another shopping bag (both from stores he would never shop at for himself) is somewhat out of sight but still, in a place I have a look at every few days.

Same here..."mysterious" boxes arrive via UPS and i can tell from the return address...perfume, perfume, those Vans sneakers I admired, and so forth. but he always saves the day with ONE surprise like an Hermes scarf or earrings from Tiffany's. mars and venus...mars does not give a crap about gift wrap or planning ahead, and can seem indifferent. But mars does spend a whole lot more money and knows he has to come up with some quality goods/!
